We stayed in the darling Normandy town of Bayeux where the historical, amazing and epic Bayeux Tapestry is on display. It is an embroidered piece of astonishing art! (Not woven) 

The entire tapestry is 70 meters long (229 feet!) with the entire story of the conquest of England in 1066! 

They have eliminated any photo taking so I bought a few postcards and scanned them.

The detail is incredible!


We had headphones so we could listen to the story and look at specific scenes. I was blown away!
